Preparing Substrate:

- Make sure the surface is dry and clean of dust, grease, loose particles and any other foreign matter liable to interfere with the application of the primer.
- On asphalt surfaces, wait one month after the asphalt has been laid.
- Make sure that the surface is leveled before application so as to prevent puddles from forming at a later stage.
Preparing Product:
Mix the product well using a mechanical mixer at a speed of up to 400 revolutions per minute.
Before each application, check the suitability of the product and the mixture for use. In any case of ambiguity, please contact the technical department for advice.
BG COAT Black Base Application on Asphalt Surfaces:
- Add up to 3.5 liters of water to each can of BG COAT Black Base per coat and mix well with a mechanical mixer.
- Apply one layer of BG Primer (0.85 kg/m2) depending on the size of the asphalt aggregate using silicone squeegee. Drying of the layer achieved after 4 hours, depending on the weather. Apply BG COAT Black Base continuously without breaks. If necessary, an additional BG COAT Black Base layer can be applied.
Applying BG COAT Black Base on Concrete Surfaces:
- Brush one layer of Flexseal 162 (according TDS of the product), as a binding layer between concrete and BG Coat.
- Do not apply on smooth, unclean concrete or with bleeding signs, before removing the top layer by a polishing machine with the roughest scotch. Wait 4 hours for BG COAT Black Base to dry.
NOTE WELL: Before applying the product, make sure the product is suitable to its intended use. In case of uncertainty or doubt, please contact the technical department for advice.
- Do not apply BG Primer Forte to water-logged or salt-infused substrates.
- Do not apply BG Primer Forte when the temperature of the substrate is below 8°C or above 25°C.
- Do not apply BG Primer Forte in any extreme weather conditions (rain, sand storms, heat waves, etc.).
- Do not add water to a mixture that has dried out.
- Clean application tools with soap and water immediately after use; do not let product harden on them.
- The product is based on acrylic components. It is therefore necessary to protect one’s eyes and skin when applying. In case of accidental contact, rinse immediately with clean, running water.
